The most important Spanish wines selection contest, announced in the Grand Tasting event, qualifies wines from the 50 main Spanish wineries, ranked with more than 90 points by critics Robert Parker and Peñin. The sixth edition of Spain Top Wines received a total of 1700 professional profile visitors, among its events in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzen. During the Grand Tasting tour, visitors can try 20 grape varieties, from different wine producing regions and with different aging styles.
Among the 10 best rated wines we can find two Terramagna brands, The Woods of Tilo being the wine that opens this list with the TOP 10 of the most popular wines in Spain. We also found our Isabel Peralta wine, which is our most personal wine.
THE WOODS OF TILO
The Woods of Tilo is a dark cherry red wine with tile-coloured trim, garnet-bluish tones and high layer. In the nose, the varietal notes complement each other well, with the contribution of their twelve month pass through the barrel giving soft notes to roasted, reminiscing of spices and light hue of clove. On the palate shows a good body, with sweet tooth and elegant balance. It is a silky and harmonic wine.
ISABEL PERALTA
The Isabel Peralta wine stands out for its bright colour with a high layer. In the nose it is fresh and at the same time deep, reminiscent of very ripe black and red fruits. Balsamic and spicy notes. On the palate it is silky, powerful, long and voluminous with a strong fruity character, in addition to having an exquisite persistence on the palate.
Both wines are made in our winery in Tierra de Castilla, where we have more than 1000 hectares of vineyards and a winery that stands out for the care in the winemaking process, where the harvest is done manually and where wines are made with a careful process to maximize their flavour, while retaining the properties of the grape.
